Four years of shooting, on locations in Poland and in Sweden, macro lenses, camera cranes, vizualizations, it all gives viewers the feeling of beeing a part of the research team. No other camera was on the excavation site where among others graves archeologists found the one apeared to be the right one. No other camera attended prof. Karol Piasecki when he was cleaning the Copernicus cranium from the sand. No other camera was between more than hundred of coffins under the Frombork cathedral floor, accompaning archeologists in searching for bishop Lukas Watzenrode crypt, to collect DNA for comparision tests. No other camera was in Pułtusk and Uppsala when dr Marie Allen was collecting Copernicus tooth and the hairs from 500 years old book belonged to Copernicus. We could repeat “no other camera” phrase so many times, because we have got a privilege to get a special permision from team manager prof. dr hab. Jerzy Gąssowski be with him and with his splendid team. We thank for it from the deep of our heart. Let us one more time emphasize that whole documentation covers dozens of hours of footage of real research, is not stage set.
Of course, 26 min. 15 sec. documentary “Copernicus Code Mystery” is only a quick glimpse at our huge documentation of that extraordinary excavation and research project lead by prof. dr hab. Now we are editing the “Copernicus Code Mystery - Full Version”. It will be about 50 min. lenght, in both SD and HD version. Together with longer broadcast version we are working on DVD version with some extra materials and documentation. We are planning to release the DVD on Copernicus’ birthday 19th february 2009 in the unique and charming city of Toruń where Copernicus was born on 19th february 1473.
